This Privacy Policy describes how F.O.C.U.S. ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information.

F.O.C.U.S. is designed to be a simple and intuitive local-first project and task management tool. We prioritize your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

FocusApp is designed to collect minimal personal information. All data processing occurs locally on your device.

  • User-Provided Content: When you use F.O.C.U.S., you create and input data such as:

    • Project names, descriptions, start dates, and optional end dates.

    • Task names, optional due dates, optional assigned persons, and task status.

    • File Attachments: If you utilize the attachment feature, you may add images or documents to your tasks. These files are stored locally on your device.

  • No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Collected by Us: F.O.C.U.S. does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other direct personal identifiers. Any personal information you choose to include within project descriptions, task names, or "assigned to" fields is entirely at your discretion and stored only on your device.

  • No Analytics or Tracking: F.O.C.U.S. does not use any third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics) or crash reporting tools that transmit data off your device.

  • No Third-Party Services: F.O.C.U.S. does not connect to any external servers or third-party services for data storage or processing.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information you create and input into F.O.C.U.S. is used solely to provide the core functionality of the App to you.

  • To organize and display your projects and tasks.

  • To allow you to edit, update, and manage your project and task details.

  • To store your data locally on your device so it persists between app sessions.

3. How Your Information is Stored

All your project, task, and attachment data in F.O.C.U.S. is stored locally on your device within the App's sandboxed environment (e.g., UserDefaults and the App's Documents directory).

  • No Cloud Storage: We do not store your data on our servers or any cloud service.

  • Device Encryption: Your data, when stored on your device, benefits from the device's operating system-level encryption (e.g., iOS Data Protection) if your device is passcode-protected.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

Since F.O.C.U.S. does not collect or transmit any personal data from your device, we do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to any third parties.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device for as long as you have F.O.C.U.S. installed. If you delete the App from your device, all data associated with F.O.C.U.S. will be removed. You are responsible for managing and deleting your projects and tasks within the App.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You have full control over your data within F.O.C.U.S.:

  • Access and Modification: You can access and modify all your project and task data directly within the App at any time.

  • Deletion: You can delete individual tasks or entire projects at any time within the App. Deleting the App from your device will remove all associated data.

7. Children's Privacy

F.O.C.U.S. is not intended for use by children under the age of 5. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 5. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 5, we will delete such information from our records.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website (if applicable). You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
